Justanswer.com: A clean, super Q &A site backed by authoritative professionals

JA logo

We have popular sites such as Yahoo Answers and Answerbag.com while also have niche-based Q &A sites. Although I did stumble across some sites that have accredited professionals answering your queries, I am yet to see a great looking site powered by accredited professionals and raved by the Media all at the same time. Justanswer.com is just the kind of site that would make you feel like being there and asking away or contribute if you are an expert. Continue Reading…

Mahalo.com: Ask A Question, Any Time (Even Anonymously)

MA logo

What do you get when you put together a newspaper, portal, Q &A site, recruitment site, an e-store, and much more (there are really too many to list)? The result is Mahalo.com. Instead of taking the usual approach of putting up a Q &A site, Mahalo.com took an integrated approach by making itself look like a Q &A supersite with some other things thrown in. Mahalo Answers, then, is the actual site that focuses on Q &A. Continue Reading…

The 5 Dumbest Questions: Rambo, Freckles, and Bacon

Have you ever been asked a question by a random person on the street and wondered, “how did this guy ever make it so far in life without bumbling his way in to a wacky and mishap and impale himself on a spike?” Well, while that might be a once-in-a-while experience, going to Q&A sites is like meeting that guy 7 or 8 times a day, and as the day progresses he steadily becomes dumber. At first you feel bad for the guy, maybe you want to help him tie his shoes and give him a dollar, but after a while you want to slap a dunce cap on his head, send him to a corner and tell him to think about what he just said. Continue Reading…

Rediff Q &A: An Indian Q &A Site

rediff logo

Originally, Rediff.com was intended to be a portal. With stiff competition in this front while baring chest with biggies like yahoo, rediff.com was forced to look at other avenues to make money. They then started selling advertising, hosting space and domains and now they have a Q &A section on rediff.com. How does it fare? Does it have anything to go for it? Continue Reading…

Askme Help Desk: Help Is Its Middle Name!

am logo

One visit to some Q &A sites – no matter how standard they might seem to be – you’d know right away if it has something for you to take away from. The success of a Q & A site depends on the targeted traffic it receives, the quality of questions asked and answered, the design and utility of the site and sometimes, focus on a niche. Askme.com has all of that except that it’s a general, standard-fare Q &A site. Continue Reading…

Allexperts.com: It isn’t users but it’s experts answering your questions

expertslogo

Most of the Q &A sites we know of are peer-based, general online communities where everyone tends to pitch in with answers when you ask a question. However, there have been a few Q &A sites that we reviewed that only have a panel of experts empanelled to answer questions posted by readers. Allexperts.com is one such community but has its focus spread evenly across a wide range of topics. Continue Reading…

ABTTHERELogo

Often, the Internet is thought of as a revolution because of its power to make information available to anyone with access to it while making it easier to communicate with almost anyone in the entire world. While we did (and still do!) enjoy the intense ease with which we can communicate using instant messaging, there’s anybodyoutthere, that leverages this very feature to enable you to ask or answer questions. Kids Health Q &A: You may never have to Worry About Your Kid’s Health again

Kidshealth

As a major deviation from the usual round-up of actual Q &A sites, I found a good case of a Q & A section ensconced in a rather authoritative site as a category – one of the other parts of the site Kidshealth.org from Nemours. Earlier, I did a review on a Q &A site called Minti which focuses on parenting alone. Kidshealth’s Q & A section should be a great addition to the repository of information you will need for better health care for kids. Continue Reading…

Simplyexplained.com: There are Simple Explanations to Everything, You See?

simplyexplained

I’ve often believed that there must be simple answers to the seemingly complex behaviours, sights and sounds that life throws on us. My opinions aside, there is a Q &A site that operates on a similar thread of thought. Simplyexplained.com is a site that’s poised to provide simple answers to all those questions that befuddle you and confuse you. Continue Reading…

5 Most Ridiculous Questions Picked by Askoholic

Everybody’s got a question. Everyone’s looking for an answer. Some of these questions are deep, philosophical queries that may never be resolved but should be debated now and forever for the intellectual betterment of mankind. Others, though…well, let’s just say that were probably best left unsaid. And un-thought of. And should have never even existed in the first place. Continue Reading…
