Justanswer.com: A clean, super Q &A site backed by authoritative professionals
We have popular sites such as Yahoo Answers and Answerbag.com while also have niche-based Q &A sites. Although I did stumble across some sites that have accredited professionals answering your queries, I am yet to see a great looking site powered by accredited professionals and raved by the Media all at the same time. Justanswer.com is just the kind of site that would make you feel like being there and asking away or contribute if you are an expert. Here’s what we thought about it:
Highly-trafficked site designed with the users in mind
Quantcast states that justanswer.com receives a whopping 5.9 million from the U.S alone. The site is truly pleasant to look at and is distinctively uncluttered for such a popular Q & A site. There isn’t an iota of space that has been wasted. The rather large “Enter your question” area appeals and calls out to the knowledge seeker while those two little modules with expert profiles and testimonials appearing in a random manner is indeed a nice touch.
Media Favourite and Proud
Most Q & A sites pass by like a whiff of wind and are rarely touted by the media. Justanswer.com is a hot favourite for media and the home page proudly displays the numerous logos of the publications, magazines, and newspapers that have featured justanswer.com. The distinctive badges referring to the videos and the social proof of “over 1 million satisfied customers” would go a long way in converting more casual visitors into inquisitive knowledge mongers. The trust factor goes up a few notches higher thanks to the logos of “Verisign” and “”Better Business Bureau” – now, I think that this is the first time I saw a Q &A with these logos.
Experts like no other – accredited and motivated
Now, for a change, not everyone can be an expert since it’s not just a matter of signing up. Justanswer.com makes it mandatory for those who want to be experts to apply with particular submissions for each category requirement. First, you will have to fill out an application form, take a short test based on the subject you apply to be an expert on and then verify your credentials. Generally, a license certification or a research-related employment or at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. When you become an expert, you start with earning 25% of customer fees for the questions they need answering going all the way up to 50%. The experts do have a lot of money to make and they are perhaps the right people to answer customer queries.
Ask with a Refundable Good Faith Deposit
When you enter your question there on justanswers.com, you will be asked to create an account and place a refundable, good faith deposit. The idea is to pay the expert when you accept an answer as a good one and not pay otherwise (which is rare since justanswers.com guarantees you satisfaction). You will receive an email to notify you when your questions are answered. I think that this minor twist to receiving payments for questions asked is quite a novel idea and is intriguing.
Did you get a chance to use justanswers.com or do you happen to be on the expert panel? We would love to hear from you!
